Setting Goals

September 13, 2009 Uncategorized Comments

Setting goals is absolutely necessary to your affiliate marketing career. Personally, I set goals for myself every week because I have a very short attention span and always need to work on a different one before I lose sight of what the goal was.

If you’re new to affiliate marketing and haven’t made any money online, you should set a goal for yourself to make your first $100 online in 30 days. I hear that there’s a great program that helps you do this called the 30-day Challenge. I’ve heard lots about this but haven’t actually used myself.

I made my first $100 online by promoting Project Payday on Craigslist. I didn’t have any money to promote the program on Adwords, so I posted ads on craigslist, which is free. The crazy thing about this is that I only set a goal for myself to make $100 in a month but I made $100 in about 10 days. This happened for me back in 2007.

Goals are great because they keep you motivated to work. You also work harder than if you didn’t have any goals. Even if you don’t meet your goals all the time, you will have definitely learned something from each experience that will make you a better marketer.
